Parallel and intersecting linear formulas
Up to now, we have only considered a single linear formula. But we can also compare two linear formulas.
Two linear formulas can be parallel (which means they will never cross) or intersect.
Example
The slope determines if two linear formulas intersect or are parallel.
Two linear formulas are parallel if and only if their slopes are equal.
Two linear formulas intersect if and only if their slopes are unequal.
The two linear formulas are parallel.
